Department Activities
A visit to Craftamela 13/10/2021
On 13th October 2021, the Department of Fashion Designing visited a Craftsmela which was held at Hoshiarpur. The students of B.Sc and M.Sc Fashion Designing visited the fair. The mela represented the stalls of various different regions of Indian with their specialities. The students also learnt the marketing skills by watching these small craftsmen..
An industrial visit 25/02/2020
On 25th February 2021, the Department of Fashion Designing organised an educational Industrial Visit to Array, Tudor International,Ludhiana. The students were acknowledged with various processes involved in Apparel Manufacturing. The B.Sc and M.Sc Fashion Designing were benefitted by this practical knowledge and they were also taken to. Local Ludhiana Market to educate them about Market survey.
A workshop by Pidilite on 11 to 13 april 2022
The Post Graduate Department of Fashion Designing organised a three day workshop on Art and Craft. The workshop dated from 11th April 2022 to 13th April 2022. Madam Ritu Lal was the resource person. She is FCP in Pidilite Industries. The workshop was conducted on various techniques of art which is very important for students as it help them to represent their work in an impressive manner. The topics covered by madam were fabric painting, block, stencil printing, lipaan art and bottle art. The students of B.Sc and M.Sc Fashion Designing actively participated in the workshop and learnt many new things. They were also acknowledged to create best of out waste. Madam Ritu guided the students to use the art material in an economical manner by avoiding wastage and taking cautions. She demonstrated each and every technique practically in front of students and gave shared many tips and tricks.
