Women Cell

The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013 is a legislative act in India that came into force on December 9, 2013. This is an Act to provide protection against sexual harassment of women at the workplace, for the prevention and redressal of complaints of sexual harassment, and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. This will contribute to the realization of their rights to gender equality, life and liberty, and equality in working conditions everywhere. A sense of security at the workplace will improve women’s participation in work, resulting in their economic empowerment and inclusive growth. Under the Act, which also covers students in schools and colleges as well as patients in hospitals, employers and local authorities will have to set up grievance committees to investigate all complaints.

College Grievance Redressal Cell

Grievance Redressal System is a vital part of any administration. It is the responsibility of the College Administration to provide a secure and contented environment to all its Staff and Students. The Grievance Redressal Committee has been formed in the College as per the UGC guidelines to redress the grievances of both the staff and the students. Since the inception of the college, the Committee has been under the direct purview of the Principal.

The grievances received by the Principal are forwarded to the concerned Committee members who look in to the problems depending upon the seriousness of the issue.The Committee has been continuously striving to take the best efforts possible to create a harmonious and conducive atmosphere to everyone in question.

MINORITY CELL  

The aim of the Minority Cell is to empower the minority communities in the College and assist them in their curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The Cell has been set up to help minority students from the Sikh, Christian, Muslim, Jain and other communities achieve holistic development.

The smooth working of minority cell has been achieved through time to time meeting and follows up by the management and committee chairman. Minority cell helped students to obtain financial support from minority communities from government agencies. Every year minority cell organized a scholarship guidance program. Through this program government scholarship information and guidance was given to minority students. The meetings were conducted throughout the year with committee members and chairman for successful implementation of schemes and activities.

The Minority Cell of college strives to create an inclusive and empowering environment for minority students, fostering their overall development and success in both academic and personal spheres.
