An educational trip to CSIR- Institute of Himalayan Bio resource Technology, Palampur on March 6, 2020. A Constituent Laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is organized by Science Department of the college under DBT Star College Scheme project. The faculty members Prof. Davinder Thakur, Dr. Varinder Kumar, Dr. Komal Badhan, Prof. Apoorva accompanied the students of UG classes of the departments of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It was a wonderful experience for students to visit such research Laboratory of National repute.A visit to different laboratories of the institute was conducted by expert guides of the institute.Students got opportunity to see analytical instruments’s working and demonstration. They were feeling fantastic to see the working of SEM, TEM, NMR, Plant tissue culture lab, GCMS, HPLC,UPLC MS-MS labs for chromatographic mass spectroscopy and various other labs. Scientists iinteracted with students and dealt their queries  and also they motivated students  for higher studies and research. Overall this trip proved to be a wonderful experience for both students and teachers. On the way students got opportunity to sea tea gardens of Palampur.
